Biography

I have loved drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. My father (who was a fantastic artist himself) would always find time to sit down with me when I was quite small and explain shading, perspective, tone, etc, and I soon learnt to draw and paint in oils with confidence and ease.

Career and family commitments prevented me from studying art seriously, but over the years I continued to paint regularly as a hobby, trying different media and styles.

My paintings today are inspired by the incredible light and colour of the Mediterranean, the atmosphere and beauty of Hampshire where I live, and anything else that catches my eye when I happen to visit other areas in the UK.
